“A bourgeois city a stone’s throw from Paris”
“In the 19th century, Montgeron was appreciated by many bourgeois families who set up their second home there. As proof, the few beautiful period houses that still adorn the landscape of the city today. It was during this period that Claude Monet painted the famous painting “The Turkeys” in the Carmel Park in 1877. The man had then come to rest in Montgeron.” Extract from the website of the City of Montgeron. Around us relief, topography, a valley and a view dominate the plot. Houses, gardens, small streets take shape along the hillside. The RN6 “cuts” the landscape and rue Guynemer is on either side. The house located at the top of the land at n°4 rue Guynemer inspires me. Its status, its garden, its volume, its fence and its position on a promontory help to take the measure of the place.
